How I Write: Secrets of a Bestselling Author How I Write: Secrets of a Bestselling Author by Janet Evanovich

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This book was awesome! It really got me into the mode of Janet's books but also to jump start my book again that I've already started working on. It was great! I plan on buying the book so I can go back and read the sections to help me out along the way! An awesome read! A must read for anyone that wants to write or thinks they want too.

Janet and Ina really read the book in an awesome way. Janet is fun, alive and bubbly and keeps you wanting more and keeps you engaged in the book at all times!

The Other Daughter - Gardner

The Other Daughter The Other Daughter by Lisa Gardner

My review

rating: 4 of 5 stars
I finished the Other Daughter by Lisa Gardner, very twisty and turny but a good interesting read. The Perfect Husband was alot better but it was a good read. I got confused about names in the book often other than that it was a great read.

Where to Draw the Line: How to Set Healthy Boundaries Every Day Where to Draw the Line: How to Set Healthy Boundaries Every Day by Anne Katherine

My review

rating: 4 of 5 stars
This book was fantastic. This is my second time reading this. I read it back in 2005 it was good then but better now. :) This book teaches you how to be a better person to yourself mainly and to others in the long run. I think everyone should read this book!

"Each time you set a boundary and dissolve a defense, you pave your way to your own safe country, your own unique territory that is the fulfillment of your life and your mission"

New Moon - Meyer

New Moon (Twilight, #2) New Moon by Stephenie Meyer

My review

rating: 5 of 5 stars
I loved this book! The first book in the series Twilight was the best so far. I really enjoyed how New Moon began. The beginning middle and end were very well written. The story line was great! I love the anticipation of everything in these books. I don't like how Meyer uses alot of the same words alot like "grimaced - shuttered" and there are some other ones. That was the only thing in the book that I didn't like. Other than that the book was perfect and I'm very anxious to read the next two books in the series. These books are geared towards 10-12 year olds. I'm far from that age and I love the book. Everything is written with lots of color and inspiration! Everything is very visual to me and I feel like I'm right then in the story. I love it! Keep reading! Enjoy new authors and write reviews. Hugs, Heather

The Perfect Husband! Lisa Gardner

The Perfect Husband The Perfect Husband by Lisa Gardner

My review

rating: 5 of 5 stars
I absolutely loved this whole book. It was great the whole thing. I felt like I knew the characters when it came to the end. The end ended perfectly like I thought it might but with a twist. This is the first book in the series and I already have the other books lined up to read. (thanks to ebay) Lisa Gardner is brilliant in her writing! I just could go on and on. This is an AWESOME BOOK! READ IT!

MAX is back - James Patterson

MAX (Maximum Ride, Book 5) MAX by James Patterson

My review

rating: 4 of 5 stars
We'll this is my first book for April completed! Once again a Patterson book. I really enjoyed this book. It had alot of fill ins from other books which was okay but I think it took away from the book. I know most people that read series try to read all the books. I think the book could of had alot more in it, if it wasn't filled in from past books. I think it was great to find out new things about Max and the gang. I would recommend reading the book if you want to stay up to date on the series. I liked it. I really enjoyed the first 3 books in the series the most. The 2nd was my fav of them all. I know I'm getting off beat here but I want to say how I feel about this book. The story line was okay. I think Final Warning was a much more EXCITING book compared to this one. However I gave this book 4 stars. I could have used alot more excitment like the other 4 books.

Happy Reading! Heather

TWILIGHT! By Meyer ----- I LOVVVVVVVED IT!

Twilight (The Twilight Saga, Book 1) Twilight by Stephenie Meyer

My review

rating: 5 of 5 stars
This was one of the best and well written books that I have read in a long time! I would recommend it to anyone. I do think however it is written more for females but I feel it would be a good read for anyone. There is alot of talking in the book and just normal life but it is perfectly written. I haven't been this happy about reading a book like this since I read Honeymoon by Patterson in 2005. This is how much I loved this book! What else can I say! A perfect read! I WANT MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RUN FOR YOUR LIFE! - Patterson

Run for Your Life Run for Your Life by James Patterson

My review

rating: 3 of 5 stars
This book was good, it kept me interested but it was nothing like Step on a Crack, I really enjoyed the first book to this series. I wouldn't say don't read it but I wouldn't say run out and get it either. Take your time and read it when you get a chance. I do like the characters in this book. Happy Reading! Sorry I can't give more of a review. It was good but not exciting in a way that I HAVE TO KNOW what is going to happen next kind of book.

Thanks!

I got SMITTEN! Evanovich

Smitten Smitten by Janet Evanovich

My review

rating: 4 of 5 stars
First off, this book was great from the start! I know I sound like a broken record but Evanovich's books are really good! I could totally relate to Liz and how she felt. I liked how she was on her own and doing the best she could, she was strong and independent yet wanting that real MAN in her life! Matt....well he's a god sent. I loved his tenderness and loving towards Liz right off the bat. He was just sweet from day one. I liked how he was sweet yet persistent. He knew what he wanted and he kept on it but not in a totally annoying way. :) He was a great father figure and down to earth person. I could relate to this book completely! I think this book helped me get my wings too!

Back to the Bedroom - Evanovich

Back to the Bedroom Back to the Bedroom by Janet Evanovich

My review

rating: 4 of 5 stars
I really liked this book. It was more than just romance it was also about respect, understanding and relaxing. I found it interesting how Kate learned who she was and what her purpose was. I liked how she learned what LOVE really was. She was in a past relationship and she thought that there were other reasons why she was no longer with him. But LOVE had alot to do with it. This book made me laugh alot. It made me think. Oh and I wanted more.... it had a great beginning that kept me reading and throughout the book as well. The end, well it ended perfectly. This was a great quick read. Enjoy! Heather

CRADLE AND ALL! WOW!

Cradle and All Cradle and All by James Patterson

My review

rating: 5 of 5 stars
I will say this, I didn't know what this book was about when I started reading it. I knew it was Patterson and I hadn't read it. When I started reading it I thought it was very ODD, and STRANGE. But it kept me totally interested thoughout the entire book, right up to the last page. I was surprised in everything that happened for a change. It was a good, WOW, DIFFERENT, STRANGE, READ. It sure made my mind wonder. It says in the front of the book that Maxine Paetro also helped on the remodel of this book that was called Virgin. Happy reading! I finished this book in a week. :)

Cross Country Cross Country by James Patterson

My review

rating: 5 of 5 stars
I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVED THIS BOOK, I THINK IT WAS ONE OF MY FAV CROSS BOOKS, WELL THE 3RD IN LINE AFTER POP GOES THE WEASEL, AND LONDON BRIDGES OF COURSE. ONCE I GOT READING THIS BOOK I COULDN'T PUT IT DOWN. I LOVED IT AND IT WAS VERY FAST PACED AND ACTION PACKED RIGHT FROM THE BEGINNING. I DON'T MEAN TO YELL BUT THIS BOOK WAS OUTSTANDING AND I LOVED IT. DON'T READ REVIEWS THAT SAY A BOOK ISN'T GOOD UNTIL YOU READ IT YOURSELF. IF YOU LOVE CROSS YOU WILL TRUELY ENJOY THIS BOOK. THE END HAS A KICK TOO IT TOO, SO DON'T READ THE LAST 2 PAGES UNTIL YOU GET TO THEM. NO CHEATING! ENJOY! HAPPY READING! I'M SO GLAD THAT JAMES PATTERSON WAS ONCE AGAIN MY FIRST BOOK COMPLETED FOR THE YEAR!

The X-Files The X-Files by Max A. Collins

My review

rating: 4 of 5 stars
Well this was a great book. No Aliens like the first movie but it was really good and it kept me interested. I felt like I was there with Mulder...mmmmm. :) I can't wait to see the movie and put it all together. The book was good. It was not packed with visual details. It was to the point. It was a quick read over xmas. I read in on the way to CT and on the way back and I had it completed! If you like the xfiles and you enjoy quick reads this book is for you! Happy reading in the New Year.

AMA! A must READ!

Against Medical Advice: A True Story Against Medical Advice: A True Story by James Patterson

My review

rating: 5 of 5 stars
I read this book in less than 8 days. I loved it. It was inspirational, motivational, heart-maddening, heart-saddening, funny and all GREAT! I loved this book! The determination of this child and his family shows how families should be. It shows how family come together even in the hardest times. This was not a book that I was interested in reading, even though it was written by "Patterson" my favorite author. I couldn't get enough of this book. Many more chapters could have been added and it would have been great! Cory was/is a true trooper. A go-getting, a non-quitter. I see alot of me in him. I'm totally inspired on working on my book about GBS that I have left 1/4 done. I love the simplicity of the book and its writing and story line. I love that it is not all technical and doctor doctor talk. This is a book that anyone can read and enjoy. Heck, I thought I wouldn't want to read this in the least. I fell in love on the first chapter. Patterson and Friedman really did a great piece of work with this one. I hope this inspires more people such as myself to motivate to read and to write! A must read...I wouldn't mind having this on my bookshelf of keepers!

Happy Reading! Heather P.
